The movie begins with the birth of Sun Wukong from a magic stone on the Mountain of Flowers and Fruit. As he grows, he becomes increasingly mischievous and rebellious, eventually challenging the gods of heaven. Sun Wukong's antics catch the attention of the Jade Emperor, who tries to control him by offering him a position in heaven.
However, Sun Wukong's thirst for power and freedom leads him to rebel against the Jade Emperor's rule, resulting in a fierce battle between him and the celestial armies. Despite his immense strength and cunning, Sun Wukong is eventually defeated and imprisoned under a mountain by the Buddha.

Reluctantly, Sun Wukong agrees to accompany Tang Sanzang on his journey, along with other companions including Zhu Bajie, a pig demon, and Sha Wujing, a river demon.
Throughout their journey, Sun Wukong and his companions face numerous challenges and adversaries, including demons, monsters, and treacherous obstacles. Sun Wukong's bravery, wit, and martial prowess are tested as they encounter danger after danger on their quest.
As they near their destination, Sun Wukong's loyalty to Tang Sanzang is put to the ultimate test when he must confront his own demons and inner conflicts. In the end, Sun Wukong learns the true meaning of compassion, humility, and selflessness, ultimately achieving enlightenment and redemption.
